Four-month-old Nepat was born with a cleft lip, and his new mother Nancy, had to navigate the challenges. She longed to get help for Nepat.
When she heard that Interplast were travelling to PNG, she travelled with Nepat from her remote community of East Sepik to Wewak in the hope that they could perform surgery to repair his cleft lip.
Thankfully, because of your kindness, Nepat was seen by the surgical team and they performed the procedure. Your support, together with other donors, made it possible. A future that once felt uncertain for Nancy and her little Nepat is now filled with possibility.
Nancy said he is “extremely happy to have his lip repaired before he goes to school.”
Thanks to you, Nepat will grow up smiling and start school on time, just like his peers.
