The new year means Turia Pitt’s next adventure is drawing near, so keep your eyes peeled for fundraising events organised by participants in her upcoming Kokoda Trail challenge.
The brave group of 29 will be tackling the notoriously difficult trek through the dense jungles of Papua New Guinea in May.
Sydney residents who’d like to help trekker Laura Nicholson raise funds can go along to the Palace Verona on 26 February to watch the acclaimed movie Brooklyn and enjoy a drink and nibbles.
South Australians can attend A Night With Turia on 2 March at the Adelaide Hills Convention Centre, where they will have a chance to listen to Turia talk about overcoming adversity in her refreshingly candid style. Trekkers Jessica Caire and Sally Patten are hosting the event.
