In May, Interplast proudly supported five plastic surgeons from Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Vietnam to attend the 2014 Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) Annual Scientific Congress (ASC) in Singapore.
Interplast is excited to embark on a new funding partnership with the Filminera Resources Corporation (Filminera). This partnership will see three annual general plastic and reconstructive surgical programs being undertaken in partnership with the Masbate Provincial Hospital, Philippines.
2013 was an exciting year for Interplast, as many of you will know we celebrated our 30th anniversary. One of the key achievements for the year was the undertaking and completion of Interplast’s first longitudinal impact evaluation study, looking at 30 years of Interplast activities in Fiji.
Rotary’s Climb for a Smile event was held in October 2013. Participating teams climbed 50 floors to the finish line on the roof of the newly renovated 108 George Terrace in Perth.

On Sunday 17 November, 2416 participants took to the stairwells of Melbourne’s iconic Eureka Tower to raise money for Interplast and Whitelion!
In 2012, Interplast volunteers met Andrew and his mother in Apia in Samoa. Having injured his ankle severely while playing outside a few months earlier, his wound became septic and an exposed bone in his left leg required plastic and reconstructive surgical intervention.
