Leave a legacy of healing

A bequest is a special and powerful way to support a cause that is important to you. By including a gift in your will to Interplast, you help restore dignity, mobility, and independence to people across the Pacific and Asia. Your legacy will support life-changing reconstructive surgery, rehabilitation and medical training that strengthens local healthcare systems.

Giving a gift in your will is the perfect opportunity for anybody thinking about doing something powerful, special and lasting. You do not have to have a certain degree of wealth or number of assets to make meaningful change.

Just a few words in your will can write a legacy of generosity and hope for generations to come.

Hear from our community

Paul Ferguson is one of the generous people who have pledged a gift to Interplast in his will.

“I’ve had the privilege of visiting hospitals in Southeast Asia alongside Interplast’s plastic surgeons, observing the incredible impact of their work. Seeing the conditions these patients endure, and the transformations made possible through surgery, has been eye-opening.”

“I believe in Interplast’s mission and its commitment to lasting, sustainable change. I encourage others to consider leaving a gift as well. It’s a way to ensure this important work endures, helping people in need for years to come.”

How to include a gift in your will

Every gift, large or small is deeply appreciated and helps us achieve our vision of safe, accessible health care for all.

Making or updating a will is simple. The best way to arrange leaving a gift to Interplast Australia is to speak with a solicitor. They can ensure your estate is distributed in a way that meets your wishes. How you choose to leave a bequest depends on your personal preference and circumstances.

We also believe it is an important step to talk to family and loved ones about your will. Communication will ensure that what you choose is understood by family members, executors and guardians.

What does a gift look like?

There are four ways you might choose to include Interplast in your will.

Residuary gift

You decide to leave what is left in your estate to Interplast Australia after all estate debts or expenses are met and specific gifts are made. It’s the simplest and most effective way to support Interplast Australia.

Percentage gift

You can leave a percentage of your estate to Interplast Australia. This gives longevity to your Will because your gift won’t be influenced by inflation or changes in the value of your estate.

Specific gift

You can leave a specific sum of money or item, such as shares or real estate.

Whole of estate

You can choose to leave your entire estate to Interplast. No matter the form, every gift will allow us to deliver programs where they are needed most.

What to say in your will

To make a bequest to Interplast, we suggest the following wording for consideration by your legal advisor:

“I give and bequeath [a percentage of my estate] or [specified sum] or [all my rights, title and interest in a description of specific land or property at…] free of all duties and deductions, for the general purposes of Interplast Australia (ABN 59 006 155 193 of 250-290 Spring St, East Melbourne, Vic 3002). I declare that the receipt of an authorised officer of Interplast Australia shall be a complete and sufficient discharge for the executor(s).”

However you choose to leave your bequest, please ensure you include our correct legal name and details:
